Coach J. Morrow is excited to be a part of the Bluffton High School athletic staff as the Head Coach of the inaugural Girls Flag Football program. Known as Coach J, Coach Mo, or simply Coach, he also serves as the current Head Coach of the Girls Junior Varsity Basketball program.
Originally from Millersville, Pennsylvania, Coach Morrow grew up in a family where sports played a significant role throughout his adolescent years. After completing one year of college, he joined the United States Marine Corps in 1992. During his distinguished military career as a Combat Engineer, he actively participated in a variety of sports and officiated basketball, softball, football, and flag football games.
While serving in the Marine Corps, Coach Morrow married his wife, Jennifer Morrow. Together they have two sons, Jai, 26, and Jakii, 22. Both sons were active athletes, and Coach Morrow had the opportunity to coach them in several youth sports programs as well as travel basketball.
Following his retirement from the Marine Corps in 2012, Coach Morrow worked for several years with the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton as the Facility Maintenance Manager. During that time, he also volunteered as a basketball and soccer coach at the Bluffton Buckwalter Recreation Center.
Committed to lifelong learning and professional development, Coach Morrow returned to college and earned a degree in Physical Education and Health from Georgia Southern University. He later continued his education, completing graduate studies in Sports Administration at the University of Cincinnati.
Coach Morrow is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field and looks forward to helping build a successful tradition for Bluffton High School Girls Flag Football.
